Boat Status: Free vs. Licensed vs. Disabled

A boat can be either Licenced, Free or Disabled. Let’s take a look on what each status mean and what actions may or may not be performed:

  • Free: each account supports one (1) Free boat, conforming to the limits and quotas (refer to the Pricing page)

  • Licensed: many-boats are allowed per account, each one conforming to the limits and quotas of its assigned licence (refer to the Pricing page)

  • Disabled: many-disabled boats are allowed per account. A disabled boat appears as greyed-out (black & white) boat-card and is a boat that the user had used in the past but it is now obsolete and the user don’t wish to assign a licence neither to keep active as Free. • Delete the boat

  • Free: downgrading a boat to Free you will retain full-access to your boat data to add/edit/remove records, always in accordance with the Free tier features and quotas

  • Disabled: removing licence from a boat (disabling) retains all boat data (e.g. logs, trips, inventory, tasks, etc) with settings (e.g. boat personalisation, alerts, etc) remain intact. You will have read-only access to this boat data and you’ll be able to view all data. You will also be able to delete this disabled boat, should you wish. If you need to edit/delete any data, you’ll need to either setup this boat as Free or assign a licence anew.
