To access Checklists, log in to TheBoatApp and then you may select "Checklists" from the left side menu. By default you see “My Checklists” tab (group) containing all the checklists you have created, copied or followed (see below for more).
Alternatively, you may select the "Public Checklists" tab (group) where you may see all the publicly available checklists. On both “My Checklists” and “Public Checklists” you may use the top-right search-box to find the checklists matching your criteria.
Select "Checklists" from the left side menu and then click "+Add Checklist".
Here below you may see the General fields of a Checklist and their functionality:
Cover image: select an image you like to be used the the cover-page of your checklist. Better use something representative so that you may spot this checklist easily by just seeing its cover-image
Title: how you wish to name this checklist. Better use something descriptive since this name will appear on various lists and reports later on, especially if this is a Public-checklist (see below)
Description: expand on any details about the scope of this checklist and its usage. This can be useful for you to recall in the future what this checklist is about and much more on a Public-checklists to assist other to find it and use it appropriately (see below)
Private: select to keep this checklists for your eyes only (“private”) or leave it as public for the whole boating community to be able to benefit from it too
Category: refer to Categories & Customisation
Linked record: does this checklist relate with other inventory/task/trip/log records? If so, configure it here. You may link a specific checklist with other relevant records (e.g. an engine-maintenance checklist with an engine, a fuel-filter, an engine belt, etc)
Here below you may see the Checklists items and their functionality.
Click “+Add item” as many times as the checklist-items you need to register. On added items, you may:
Check/Uncheck: use the tick-icon to check items as done/undone
Delete: use the red-bin icon on the right-side to remove items
Order: use the grabber-icon (six-dots symbol) to grab an item and move it up/down so that you re-order the checklist according to your needs (e.g. order of works to be done)
Select "Checklists" from the left side menu. You are now on the checklists screen where you may see all your checklists, in two groups (tabs), as "My Checklists" and "Public Checklists".
On each of your own checklists cards you may see the following:

Cover-image
Copy: click to make a copy of a checklist. You may use this to start a new checklist with items already existing in one of your own checklists or even a public one. You may also copy and clean-up a private checklist of yours and then make it public for others to benefit from it. For more, refer to:

Delete: click to delete the checklist (you may delete only your own checklists, while to remove a Public checklist from appearing within “My Checklists” use the “Unfollow” button)
Items: shows the amount of the checklist-items
Files: shows the amount of attached files
Comments: shows the amount of comments from users
Followed: shows the amount of users following the checklist (see below)
Copied: shows the amount of times the checklist has been copied by users
Details: click to view or make changes on the checklist’s cover-image, title, description, items, etc (see details on “How to register Checklists” above)
On the very bottom of each checklist you may find the Comments section. All users may comment on any public checklist while the checklist owner (creator) is being notified when a new comment is posted on a checklist of his. On the comments section of a checklist you own you may see the following:
Upvote/Like: click the thumbs-up button to upvote a comment you like/agree with
Upvote/Like Counter: you may see how may upvotes/likes/thumb-up a comment has
Edit comment: click the three-dots (more) icon and then click “Edit comment” to revise a comment of yours
Delete comment: click the three-dots (more) icon and then click “Delete comment” to remove a comment of yours
Moderate received Comments and Users
On each Public checklist cards you may see additionally the “Following” button.
Follow: adds the checklist in your "My Checklists" section. You have only check/uncheck functionality but you will receive any updates performed by the creator (e.g. addition or revision of items). You will be able to use it as a checklist, being able to check/uncheck any items you wish. You will not be able to add/remove/rearrange items but you will always have the latest version since when its creator will add/revise anything your followed checklist will be also up to date. Public checklists made by others and which you are following appear within “My checklists” and are identified as “Following”.
To remove a checklist you are following, simply hover over the “Following” button, which turns to “Unfollow”, and click it.
